Here is hoping the location of the Madison train station is as close to downtown as possible.
Obviously it makes sense versus at the airport.
And it will also mean the fight over determining the necessary rail corridor to get to the station will not be resolved in any of our lifetimes.
Of course Gov. Scott Walker will have killed this off by this time next year - so this is all moot.
As someone from out of state who visits Wisconsin by rail, I sent a letter to the Governor and Secretary of State asking them to consider the needs of people who are not residents of Madison. I would think that those people would make up about half of users, don't you think?
