Iraq, Afghan Wars Now Cost $400 Million Daily

New figures from non-partisan Congressional staffers put the daily cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan at $12 billion a month, or $400 million a day.

Imagine what just a few weeks of that spending could do if applied to Great Lakes cleanup, better schools, comprehensive medical insurance, transportation upgrades and a host of domestic programs.

Imagine what our tax burden would look like if liberals actually understood and stuck to the original purpose for the federal treasury.

Hint: it doesn't include sending suburbanites to concentration camps.

Imagine what our tax burden would be if undeclared wars were, say, fewer and shorter, and national security were defined in non-military terms, too?
