While McCain Says "My Friends," Others Run The Other Way

An unseamly, self-serving, cover-your-behinds-dance has begun among Republicans as they write off John McCain.

These party insiders are merely positioning themselves for influence down the road in their fractured and disorganized party by being able to say Nov. 5th, "I told you so."

Including our own former Gov. Tommy Thompson, who appears in a Sunday New York Times dump-on-McCain piece.

Kinda makes you wonder who McCain has in mind when he says "my friends." If the naysayers and backstabbers keep this up there's going to be a sympathy vote out there for McCain.
