Comparison Shows Why Big Oil Loves McCain

The Sierra Club analyzes both presidential candidates' energy policies.

If you love oil companies, McCain is your man.

One is suppose to forget that Obama voted for the Cheney Energy Bill, and receives more money than McCain from employees of oil companies.

Obama problem is he has no moral clarity. He can't attack McCain on issues he has been fuzzy on himself.

He takes no many from PACs and lobbyists but hire lobbyist as bundlers and takes their money.

He takes no money from oil companies when no candidate has since 1908, but takes money from employees in the industry.

BTW, how does Sierra Club feel about the money Obama gets from nuclear power. Or has it sold out on that too.

Then why has Obama received more contributions from oil executives? And, for that matter, Wall Street?

Isn't it interesting as hell that the way we judge politicians is on the basis of who their bribers are?

I'd rather get the campaign contributions out of the political system and judge them on their leadership abilities.

How much money does Obama or for that matter the Democratic party get from the Sierra Club and other Environmental special interest groups? Why are they any different?

I don't know the answer to the financial question. I am sure you can find the answers on Google or in federal data bases.

If you can't see the difference between a mass membership group like the Sierra Club, and an oil company, you've got to look more closely at their agendas, motives and leaderships.

The number is typically 7-to-1 when comparing corporate to labor money, and it's likely very close to that here. But the big difference between the two are their goals. Big oil wants profits that are generated from consumers. Sierra Club et al are trying to save the environment for the consumer. You may not agree with them, but their motives and 180 degrees out.
