Has partisanship gone so far that we can't even compliment our opponents for the good things they've accomplished. I don't think Obama or Biden are playing politics or trying to fool people when they say they respect McCain's record.
No matter what I may think about Obama's politics, it is great that an African-American is on a ticket. It is great that we spend so little time talking about his race and so much time talking about what he has done and what he wants to do.
Yes, I disagree with what Obama wants to do and some things that have gone on in his past, but that does not change the fact that he is the first African-American to be on a major party ticket, and I think that's ultimately good for America.

What water, wetland protection is all about
"A little fill here and there may seem to be nothing to become excited about. But one fill, though comparatively inconsequential, may lead to another, and another, and before long a great body may be eaten away until it may no longer exist. PSC and buttressing The Public Trust Doctrine, Article IX of the Wisconsin State Constitution.

I agree that Obama's candidacy is important for the country.
I just thought that we shouldn't get too carried away with 30 seconds of planned commercial stagecraft.
