Doyle's Global Warming Task Force Hears Expert

Building codes, hybrid vehicles, ethanol from sources other than corn - - these good, but pretty conventional ideas, were brought before the Governor's Global Warming Task Force.

New Jersey and California are the national leaders, to date.

Wisconsin needs to step it up; some effects of a warming planet are already being felt here, as a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report recently summarized.

Discussions I had this past weekend with people living north of Tomahawk were filled with their anecdotes of shorter, warmer winters that have led to leaner income from traditional winter tourist activities.

Anecdotal information, to be sure, but anecdotes that back up broader, scientific findings.
