Belling Wrong About Ludacris Threat At Summerfest

Remember when Mark Belling wrung his hands over the booking by Summerfest of the hip-hop artist Ludacris?

Said July 1, the night of Ludacris' performance, might be a good night to stay away from the lakefront?

Turns out it was just another night at the festival, a victory over race-baiting.

Oh, so you went down to this concert to show your solidarity, eh?

how was belling race-baiting? do you deny the "artist's" lyrics basically describe and valorize a criminal or anarchic life where physical and sexual violence/"conquest" is paramount? do you deny this comes from and reflects back on the black urban underclass, which produces the vast, vast majority of violent crime in milwaukee and elsewhere? Do you think admitting these facts is somehow racist, because you think it reflects on or is a statement about all "black people" or African Americans? If that's what you think, you're the racist.

Well, no, we just think Belling was wrong as usual in his predictions.

He isn't a music critic, hon.
