Speaking of Chicago, why aren't we asking them (assumming we are not) to help support the KRM commuter rail line? The amounts we are talking about spending to make KRM a reality are just a drop in the bucket compared to their billion dollar transit renovation plans. Having them help fund KRM would seem to be a very reasonable request, since they would presumably share in the benefits of improved travel.
I had come across this article earlier in the week and am deeply disturbed by it.
