KK River Plan, With Neighbors' Inputs, Is A Model

Don Behm at the Journal Sentinel has a good explanation of the multi-level partnership that will improve the KK River and nearby neighborhoods.

The hard work at the grassroots by neighborhood organizations, elected officials, local agencies, regional organizations and several funders is impressive.

The MMSD took the lead.

It's a fine, working example of cooperation, action and stewardship - - a model for Waukesha's discussions with neighbors and others that its various diversion and well-drilling plans may touch: the cities of Wauwatosa and Milwaukee, the Town of Waukesha, and the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors.
