I am sorry to say I heard Jeff Wagner give his completely unfounded -- in fact, completely wrong-headed -- belief that the smoking ban will cost bars and restaurants more customers than it gains them. Does he not know or care that studies have demonstrated the opposite?
How not to build an economy: follow the opinions of uninformed right wing, reactionary talk radio.
Hey James - I know this doesn't fit into the fantasy that you live in, but the ban was SUPPORTED by the Tavern League and the Restaurant Association.
Try again.
The ban was seen as inevitable, with the compromises and loopholes that were added, such as generous definitions of what constitutes walls in 'outdoor' areas, and, of course, the delay to July 5, 2010.
