Perhaps Rush Limbaugh's Ugliest Moment Yet

This is what happens when raging self-loathing is projected onto others.

Byrd indeed was a racist. What's your point?

James Rowen said...

It is generally agreed that Byrd overcame his racism and devoted a lifetime to public service.

People change.

Generally agreed by liberals.

Democrats were the party of segregation.

That was never a Republican legacy, try as you might to make it so.

The modern parties realigned after the George Wallace surge in the 60's.

The GOP's successful (electorally) so-called Southern strategy seen in Richard Nixon;s victories was an appeal to white voters, explaining in part why so much of the south votes Republican today, and why many minority voters nationally vote Democratic.

But let's keep the focus on Limbaugh.

Yes James - let us keep the "dangly key" focus on a radio talk show host instead of the real issues this country is facing.

Byrd was yet another poster child of the argument for term limits.

56 years of clinging onto power at the highest levels of our government is hardly "devoted service".

That is overstaying one's welcome at the trough.

No, the focus is what Limbaugh said.

And if you are opposed to term limits, please contact your Congressman, Jim Sensenbennter.
