If David Prosser were smart, he'd immediately ask the US Justice Department - - and not A.G Van Hollen, a partisan - - to step in, take possession of Waukesha County and City of Brookfield election technology, and assign computer forensic experts to preserve and track the inputting, tracking, transmitting and counting of votes.
It's disturbing to read that the clerk in question has been criticized for keeping election data on password-protected personal computers.
If Prosser doesn't have the standing to request a federal probe it, he should ask whomever does: the Waukesha County DA, or Van Hollen, or Gov. Walker.
It's about appearances and facts - - some of which are getting worse.
Anything less, and the taint on the election outcome, Waukesha County procedures, the Supreme Court's integrity and the state's reputation will deepen, perhaps becoming indelible.
I'm not saying anyone intentionally did anything wrong, but with so much at stake in an over-heated environment, and now that we learn that the Waukesha County Clerk who found the unreported ballots worked under Prosser in the Assembly Republican caucus - - let's have neutral FBI technicians ease every one's minds.
I'm with you on this. I would think Prosser would want it. The appearance is that something was done. I'm not even sure if Walker would have the cohones to steal an election, but I've been wrong before. But then again, if it was stolen and it's proven, Walker would have to resign. But Republicans have never been concerned about the integrity of the process, only winning.
ReplyDeleteForensic experts? Input and transmission investigations?
ReplyDeleteHow about just counting the ballots from the city? You are trying to make this much more difficult than it needs to be.
Rowen wants to put the focus on the flawed procedures and not the actual real total vote count.
ReplyDeleteAnd one has to wonder how soon the attacks will begin on the Democratic representative on the Waukesha Canvass Board.
Obviously she will need to be thrown under the bus.
I guess you are not a careful read, Anonymous. I have said there is a simple solution: verify the Brookfield votes as cast, then match them against the totals reported by the County Clerk.
ReplyDeleteA suggestion: don't try and guess what I might say, but please read carefully what I write.
Thanks for being a reader here.
Yikes.
ReplyDeleteWith this level of stupid, I can now see what has happened to the city of Milwaukee.
Being a leftist partisan hack is one thing. We are used to that.
You are quickly heading towards the "uninged nutjob" category.
Uninged? Very cockney.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet you read here.
This is the part I don't get.
But thanks.
