Top Homeland Security US Sen. not interested in homeland insecurity details

Sworn officers arrested after allegedly cracking open a 75-year-old protester's head?

US Senate Homeland Security Committee chair and Wisconsin's lead Congressional two-term embarrassment Ron Johnson

is publicly on the record as not giving a #(*$:
Ron Johnson reportedly dodges questions on Trump's Buffalo tweet
U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson is reportedly one of a number of Republican senators dodging questions about President Donald Trump's unsubstantiated claims that a 75-year-old man who was seriously injured in New York after being shoved by police officers may have been "an ANTIFA provocateur" and part of a "set up..."
"I would rather not hear it," Johnson reportedly told CNN as he walked onto an elevator.
Two Buffalo police officers have been suspended and charged with assault after being accused of intentionally pushing Martin Gugino, who bled from the back of the head after he hit the sidewalk.
More, here.
Senator Mitt Romney told reporters on Tuesday he thought the tweet was “shocking....”
Terrence Bisson, a mathematics professor who has known Mr. Gugino for a decade, mostly through the Western New York Peace Center, said his friend would remain in the hospital for at least the next five weeks. Mr. Gugino was still in a delicate condition, disturbed by bright lights and unable to move his head without tremendous pain, he said.
That's whom Trump is smearing, and to whom Johnson cannot extend any kindness, let alone express outrage over the incident or Trump's piling on with abominable conspiratorial idiocy.

Like the similarly-supine-before-Trump Scott Walker, Johnson will do nothing to alienate himself from Trump's base voters should either of the Wisconsin GOP politicians run again for public office and the need far-right donors who have reliably supported these rightist Republicans.

In other words, the great national and non-partisan issues of the day - racial equality and justice, public safety and people's rights to assembly and protest are seen by these 24/7/365 politicians only through the narrowest of lenses - their next job, campaign, and fundraiser.

That's not leadership; it's social and moral failure.

    1. That Gloria Reyes reverses on school resource officers after the protesters desicrated the American flags on her front lawn is probably just a coincidence.
