Friendly WI legislature could offer virus-enabling bar owners a 1st offense break

Hey, special interest legislative water carriers: an oppportunity is now on tap:

In the heavy-drinking state where  law, lobbying and culture have kept 1st OWI offense uniquely decriminalized, a move by The Tavern League of Wisconsin to undermine an official pandemic preventative order from Gov. Evers covering bar operations

is not entirely a surprise:
Powerful Tavern League told bars complying with governor's order to close 'not realistic'
At least one bar in Brookfield stayed open despite Evers' order, but it's unclear if others did, too. The owner of The Saloon on Calhoun defied the order purposefully and was later ordered to shut down by police.
