Walker explains why he won't be Governor anymore

The people decided they needed more substantive behavior and concerns than flushing toilets and leftovers in their Governor's tweets.

Also - - have a good laugh at the attention-desperate gubernatorial reject, still trying to sell that nice guy image despite raising taxes on lower-income Wisconsinites, snatching food off poor people's tables, siding with big ag polluters while small dairy farmers went broke, groundwater went brown and the rivers turned green and polluted and sending the WI AG to litigate against clean air and, separately, against health insurance for pre-existing conditions, millennials and low-income Medicare-eligible recipients.

Midwestern nice? Please.
  1. The season:

Tonette, Matt, Alex and I snarfed down the cheese curds at Miller Time Pub!

  1. I KNEW IT!!! From the minute he was defeated, I knew in my gut that Scott Walker would return to run for Governor or the U.S. Senate in 2022. I am stunned, though, that he came out and admitted it this early.

I KNEW IT. Now pardon me while I go and vomit.

  2. Well, Tom, they took away the only life he's ever known: traveling around on the taxpayer dime drinking beer. No wonder he misses it already. Nice work if you can get it.

    1. Exactly, Peter. Running for elected office is the only thing he knows how to do. It’s in his blood. Let’s be honest, though: he stands a snowball’s chance in hell of ever returning to statewide office.

Robin Vos is already running for Governor, and he will not be denied the party nomination as they will move on to somebody “new.” As for the U.S. Senate, not even popular, four-term Governor Tommy Thompson won that office in 2012, and he was coming from retirement, not defeat. When Wisconsin voters decide they are through with someone, they mean it.

The best chance Walker has is moving to an extremely conservative district and running for the House of Representatives. If so, that district can have him.

  3. Walker would consider being one very junior member of Congress among 435 a step down from one of 50 governors who once led the polls for President, though it he wants Sensenbrenner's seat he could go for it when Big Jim retires in 2199. I think his electoral career is over. After all, he was defeated for re-election. Maybe he thinks loyalty to Trump will bring him a top-ranking Ambassadorship, with a staff and house and media access and travel and title and security trappings like he enjoyed in Madison, but I doubt Trump owes him that much and right now Trump looks like a goner.

I am on record predicting Pence would pick him as Veep after the impeachment and removal, but I'd written that when Walker was an incumbent and not a certified loser.

Realistically, I think the Bradley Foundation, or Coors, or Diane Hentricks will put up the money for a Walker Institute, and then they'll move on and see what happens.

  4. My bet is that he winds up as Diane Hendricks' pool boy, maybe chief groundskeeper if he shows some real aptitude and leadership. i'm sure she has some nice guest cottages for Scott and Tonette somewhere on that estate of hers.

In the meantime, no comment that Walker's first choice for a post-gubernatorial residence is that hell-hole center of vice and everything that is anti-wholesome, anti-conservative, anti-rural and anti-Real Wisconsin, not to mention all those non-European ethnic types and long-time Americans who don't count as real Americans because their ancestors were kidnapped and forced to work for nothing freely moving about as if they had some right to live there or anywhere they please...? Yes, I'm speaking of that Godless favorite target of hate radio and the WI GOP, downtown Milwaukee, the city that launched of a thousand dog whistles. Was downtown Sheboygan not nice enough? Was SKW afraid he'd have to keep up the Packer's fan charade 24/7 if he moved to Green Bay? Does Superior sound too snobby, or is it too close to Minnesota? Inquiring minds want to know!
