WI court strikes down GOP-inspired cap on some medical claims
GOP legislators along with their ideological lead dog Scott Walker pushed through a cap on medical malpractice awards as sought by business organizations, leaving severely injured patients with inadequate resources to cope with the consequences of their injuries.
A Wisconsin Court of Appeals struck the law down, though we know that big business and the Walkerites control the formerly-independent State Supreme Court, so this common-sense win may be short-lived.
The conservative, anti-government and pro-corporate mentality that passed the bill by arbitrarily limiting care for a citizen in need is identical to what's driving Republicans in the House and Senate to strip millions of their health insurance.
