I posted an item earlier today about the results of the 72-county, statewide Wisconsin Conservation Congress meetings held April 10.
Below is more voting detail on many of the advisory questions that principally deal with environmental issues separate from questions about fishing limits, hunting procedures, etc., as posted by the Wisconsin DNR which is supposed to use the results as advisory feedback.
The numerical columns should be read from right to left like this: Yes votes, No votes, # of Counties with a majority of yes votes, number of Counties with a majority of no votes, number of Counties with tie votes.
So, for example, #63, the frac sand permit question, would be read this way: Yes, 3226, No, 783. Number of Counties with a majority of Yes votes, 71, number of ounties with a majority of no votes, 1.
Basically, people in large numbers want strong protection for land, water and air in Wisconsin. What will right-wing GOP Gov. Scott Walker and his "chamber of commerce mentality" DNR do with the data? With what the people have said they want?
