Fresh backing to retain WI DNR magazine

People are subscribing in droves to the Wisconsin DNR's self-supporting and popular magazine that turns 100 next year - - the same year Scott Walker and DNR Secretary/"chamber of commerce mentality" robot Cathy Steps plan to kill it - - so it was gratifying to see that legislators are urging the magazine be retained

Keep those letters, calls and magazine orders coming.

Does the government belong to the people, or to Walker's chop-and-delete-it gang?

  1. Thank you Mr. Rowen for encouraging me to subscribe to the magazine. I just received my first copy. It reminded me of hours spent paging through my father's Wisconsin Conservation Bulletin back in the 1950's. Nothing can replace our time together in the woods and on the stream. I remain proud of the fine tradition of citizen-led stewardship of our resources in the state of Leopold, Muir and Nelson.

I am sorry Dad. I am sorry Grandpa. When it came my generation's turn to speak for the lands and waters of Wisconsin, we chose greed, exploitation and plunder.
