Chicago Trib features Walker's failed, scandalous jobs agency

Maybe it's because Illinois media remember when Walker and mini-he Rebecca Kleefisch came to Illinois with their childish Open for Business signs and failing cold-calling charade to snag Illinois firms to Wisconsin...
Also open for lost loans, partisan giveaways, scathing audits, slow growth
...but for whatever reason the Chicago Tribune lays the wood to Walker over the documented absence of productivity and professionalism at the jobs agency he created - - the WEDC - - and which has had Walker as its only board chair. From the Trib piece, originating with AP:
Some of the companies on the list are owned or affiliated with donors to Walker's political campaigns.
Kenneth C. Stock, the chief executive of KCS International, a luxury boat builder in Oconto, donated $8,500 to Walker. Members of the Sonnentag family, which owns County Materials, have donated at least $36,000 to Walker. Laona-based WD Parket LLC, is a fifth-generation company run by the Connor family, longtime
The three highest un-reviewed awards all came through the enterprise zone program. The largest, $62.5 million, went to Kohl's Department Stores for an expansion of its corporate headquarters on June 28, 2012, for a project that was expected to create 3,000 jobs but that has created just 473 so far.
The next highest was $18 million to Kestrel Aircraft Company for an expected 665 jobs, but just 24 have been created. The third highest was $15 million to Plexus Corp. to create 350 jobs, but none have been created, according to a tally provided by WEDC.

    1. I hope that isn't sarcasm. It is scandalous. It is unethical, immoral and abuse of office. It should be investigated to see if it is criminal. It is diving our communities, state and country. It is poisoning our waters and the air we breathe. It is imposing big government that is not efficient and wastes more taxpayer money.
This is WALKER, and it is WRONG for America.

  2. Even by Illinois standards this is scandalous.

Maybe Colorado Springs is a cover story and Walker is really from Cicero!

  4. It is not sarcasm.

As a former Chicago area resident I know scandalous.

Scandalous is when second and third generations of politicians from the same family are arrested and convicted for corruption in office. In the same suburban town. This happens.

  5. Walker makes Blago look like a Saint. WI never had Chicago levels of corruption in recent years until Walker took the governorship...
