And it's not the much, much bigger nature preserve/wetlands filling envisioned a bit to the south in the Town of Wilson on Lake Michigan for a controversial, high-end Kohler golf course on hundreds of acres and into a state park, but look at all the attention the fraction-of-an-acre wetland filling is getting.
I don't think the Kohler golf course is a slam dunk, despite our pro-development DNR and the Kohler company's connections with Gov. Walker.
These kinds of projects have to clear local government approvals, DNR OK's, the US Army Corps of Engineers review for permits, litigation, the court of public opinion, etc.
