Walker, Doe Silence And Upcoming State Job Pick

Walker has not taken John Doe email questions for weeks, but if he picks a former Milwaukee County personal staffer or campaign - related figure to fill a new UW communications job six months before the 2014 election then you have received your answers to all those questions, and about John Doe II.

  1. Walker apparently thinks he will get a free ride from the media through 2014.
Villa was one of the inner circle when Walker was County Executive. Just ask Kelly Rindfleisch. Emails show that Villa and Rindfleisch knew all about Walker's secret communication system. Villa provided housing for Rindfleisch to circumvent Milwaukee County public employee residency rules.
Payback time is obviously on Walker's mind with the case of Jim Villa.

  2. So you see -- Jim Villa knows about communications. Secret communications! The only kind that matter in Fitzwalkerstan. I wonder if he mentioned knowledge of secret e-mail systems on his resume?

  3. Bad analysis James. I'd argue that Walker's guilt makes him MORE likely to want Villa, if he can politically get away with hiring him. Scotty's trying to maintain the "Unintimidated" pose, to make it look like John Doe Deux isn't targeting him, so he'd try a misdirection play like that.

Too bad for him, he's screwed either way. If he hires Villa, he's a cronyist crook, and if he doesn't, he's a coward

  4. Are you sure this is Walker's pick to make? Isn't it up to Ray Cross? He may well choose to suck up to the conservatives by selecting a Walker toady, but that would be his choice to make, not Walker's.
