Walker ID'ed Among Those In Secret Email System
In the John Doe/Walker administration-cum-campaign email dump - - the smoking gun:
Included in more than 27,000 emails unsealed Wednesday is one that for the first time directly ties Gov. Scott Walker to a secret email system used in his office when he was Milwaukee County executive.
"Consider yourself now in the 'inner circle,'" Walker's administration director, Cynthia Archer, wrote to Walker aide Kelly Rindfleisch just after the two exchanged a test message.
"I use this private account quite a bit to communicate with SKW and Nardelli. You should be sure you check it throughout the day," she wrote, referring to Walker by his initials and to Walker's chief of staff, Tom Nardelli.
Doesn't quite line up with his previous denials:
In response to a question about those around him, Walker went on to say that he believed his aides - some of whom have come under scrutiny from authorities - had acted correctly as well.
"I'm not aware of anything, particularly for people working for me right now. There's nothing brought to my attention that would be a problem," Walker said.
Archer's computer which I believe was confiscated before the hard drive was scrubbed clean should be full of messages to SKW on the secret router. Is there anyway access can be gained to her e-mails? Will it take a Federal Dept. of Justice investigation to bring everything together or will John Doe 2 do this? Since Rindflesch is a subject of the second John Doe can she be charged and tried again?
ReplyDeleteAll this, and still not considered enough to go after Scott.
ReplyDeleteWhy?
Sue- Because John Doe 1 led to John Doe Deux, which went outside of Milwaukee County. It's pretty clear that the reason things ended so abruptly with John Doe Milwaukee with Walker is because it led to much bigger fish in Madison (think Koch machine).
ReplyDeleteThis is the groundwork. And soon, I imagine we'll see the completed project of this guy's corruption.
Thanks Jake. I couldn't make sense of it.
