Hat tip to the Cognitive Dissidence blog for spreading the word about Scott Walker's tone-deaf, self-serving moment of the year:
This year, we are celebrating the Holiday Season with a Black Friday special that is better than any deal found in stores. Donate $5, $10 or $25 to help Governor Walker get reelected and save your children from a future of double-digit tax increases and billion dollar budget deficits.
Instead of electronics or toys that will undoubtedly be outdated, broken, or lost by the next Holiday Season, help give your children the gift of a Wisconsin that we can all be proud of. Governor Walker is helping Wisconsin move forward to a future where your children and grandchildren can experience:
Ho, ho, ho, koch hoes!
ReplyDeleteIt's especially ironic since Scott Walker himself may well be outdated and broken by the next Holiday Season.
ReplyDeleteUnusual request for fund raising.
ReplyDeleteI asked my wife for a copy of his book for Christmas.
Instead of his book, your wife should buy you the other book "unintimidated" about the Solidarity Sing Along. An honest book about Wisconsinites speaking truth to power. Walker's book is a ghost written farce. But don't take my word for it - read the reviews on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteI read George Will's review in the Washington Post.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/george-will-scott-walker-wisconsins-action-governor/2013/11/29/6057663c-577d-11e3-8304-caf30787c0a9_story.html
A little differing version of the Amazon reviews but everyone has a right to their opinion and to be heard without censorship. Right?
Calling George Will a pretentious dickweed who shills for power, and is willing to use his journalistic position to lie in favor of it, is not censorship.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised they didn't ask for money to buy toys for the orphans of our deceased troops. They could have looked patriotic, while diverting the money for other purposes. Win win. But I should apologize for being so cynical because they would never do anything like that...oh wait.
ReplyDeleteHelp me out here.
ReplyDeleteIf Scott Walker is so despised by Wisconsinite progressives, why wouldn't you want him to be elected POTUS? He'd be out of Wisconsin politics (thus paving the way for future candidates). Seems like a win-win.
Help us. Let's get Governor ScottWalker elected President of The United States of America!
That would be like curing the cockroach infestation by burning down the neighborhood.
