Not Everything About Walker Has Equal News Value. For Example...

If I were a news editor, I'd say this is not worth reporting:

Marc Thiessen, the co-author with Gov. Scott Walker on his new book, is touting the governor as a 2016 presidential candidate. 

Obviously, too self-serving.

On the other hand, from the same story, this is a keeper:

Thiessen claims to have never spoken with Walker about running for president or to know whether Walker will do so.
