The scientists are set to claim that the increasing amount of greenhouse gases that humans have emitted into the atmosphere has almost certainly been the chief driver of the warming of the planet over the past half-century, a finding to which they ascribe 95 percent confidence. That’s the level of likelihood researchers typically consider robust enough to justify drawing very strong conclusions.A guy liking 1 in 20 odds is definitely whom you want to invite to your poker game.

Betting Against Human-Caused Climate Change: Invite RoJo To Your Poker Game
Senator Sunspots won't be happy reading that genuine scientists - - not talk show hosts or rodeo clowns - - ascribe a 95% certainty to human activity warming the globe:
What caused the planet to warm after the ice age?
ReplyDeleteSomething different. It's really not that hard to understand, anonymous.
ReplyDeleteMr. Green Zombie, did you give up carbonated beverages and start a campaign against Coke and Pepsi products?
ReplyDeleteAnon, the answer is "the Milankovich Cycle."
ReplyDeleteWe are far enough along the Milankovich Cycle that we should be inching our way towards the next cold period. Instead, we are warming. The reason for that is CO2.
...and CO2 from carbonated beverages doesn't contribute to that; because Carbonated drinks contain dissolved CO2 that was until recently, located in the atmosphere. Open the can, and the CO2 goes back into the atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteZero sum, sill anonymous. I understand now why you don't want to adopt a nym, if it would mean owning such goofy assertions.
