National Rifle Association member Scott Walker has:
* Received an "A+" rating from the NRA, the group says.
* Benefited from heavy NRA spending in Wisconsin to weaken Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle, helping to pave the way for Walker's successful 2010 run.
* Stood with NRA Vice-President Wayne LaPierre at the concealed carry bill signing - - a long-sought measure for Wisconsin by both Walker and the NRA.
* Met Ted Nugent at a recent NRA convention and touted the signing of the so-called "Castle Doctrine" bill for Wisconsin, another NRA priority measure.
* Asked NRA convention delegates in 2012 for recall campaign donations, saying "I have become a target" and "they want to take me out."
* Enjoyed more than $800,000 in NRA spending during the recall election.
* Continued, after the Newtown, CT shootings, to oppose closing gun-show loophole allowing private gun sales without background checks, and said he's open to stationing armed officers in every school - - both key NRA positions.
The NRA is working to help protect children in schools, while the liberals are working to restrict the freedom of non criminals. Scott Walker and the NRA will protect the constitution and the rights of citizens to protect children. The Liberals will just try to keep protecting the violent mentally ill.
ReplyDelete@4:35 - have you been drinking too much eggnog. NRA trying to protect children ? And how is that. Are they going to pay for the armed guards at every school? The truth is, their theory on more gun ownership making a safer society falls flat on its face.
ReplyDeleteI SAY PUBLISH THE NAME OF EVERY GUN OWNER AMD PUT THEM ON MAPS WITH LITTLE BLOODY RED DOTS. MAYBE WITH A LITTLE DRIP ....
@mullins,
ReplyDeleteYou don't need the addresses of the law abiding gun owners. You need the addresses of the criminals and felons in possession of firearms so you know where they are. The good guys aren't the ones shooting up places and robbing people.
By listing addresses of law abiding citizens, I wonder if you can understand that you would be giving criminals a list of the houses they could burglarize.
And here is a life lesson for you and your utopian friends.... they likely wouldn't choose to rob the home of the gun owner unless of course they want to be looking down the business end of a .45.
In fact, why don't you just hang a sign on your house that says "No Guns Owned Here." I'm sure you will be much safer, right?
