He joins a national murders Hall of Shame - - the DC snipers, the 2007 Colorado New Life Church spree killer, the Newtown school mass murderer, the Portland mall shooter - - whose use of a Bushmaster military-style semi-automatic rifle (sample below)
mocks existing gun laws and common sense.
Peace and Joy Mr Rowen, you have more than earned it. Reading but not commenting here much of late.
ReplyDeleteThank you. A sad season, of late.
ReplyDeleteIt is the worst storm to hit the NRA in decades. Now is the time to use this crisis.
ReplyDeleteGeneral Motors vehicles are involved in more accidents and more crimes in Detroit than any other vehicle. What are you doing to get them off the streets?
ReplyDelete@mullins,
ReplyDeleteThat is the Obama team's motto; "Never let a crisis go to waste"
I wonder when they will just try to throw out the whole constitution?
How does stopping illegal drugs work for the US? Who has the illegal drugs? It will be the same for any ban on guns. It won't be effective in that the bad guys will still have access to them.
What is really sad and unfortunate is the sense of joy among those on the left regarding these shootings as of late. They feel these shootings will be a path to what they really want, more restrictions on the 2nd amendment.
I wonder when they will just try to throw out the whole constitution?
ReplyDeleteLet me answer tat for you:
Never.
You can just ease back on the paranoid fantasy there, big fella.
The big point that is being missed here is that this guy was a felon. He was not allowed to own a weapon at all. Now tell me how is that gun law working?
ReplyDeletePassing more gun laws will not prevent criminals and/or mass shooters from getting guns whether you restrict, ban or even confiscate them.
@Zombie,
ReplyDeleteI suppose you are right.
After all, why throw out the whole thing when you can just dissect it and toss out the sections you don't like or may disagree with?

ReplyDeleteUh-huh.
And which sections of the Constitution have been thrown out again?
Oh, yeah, most of the Fourth was invalidated by the Patriot Act. But that wasn't Obama, and that's not the one that has your knickers twisted, is it?
It is the one the left is going to try and throw out that has my concern.

Show me any Democrat of any prominence who is proposing to abolish the Second Amendment.
I will even hold my breath. Fortunately, as a zombie, that poses little problem.
Yeah, abridgement of the First, the Fourth, the Fifth, the Sixth, the Fifteenth, the Seventeenth, the Nineteenth, or really any one of 'em other than the Holy Second Gun-Totin' Rootin-Shootin' Kill 'em All Amendment; you don't really give a shit about those.
ReplyDeleteGood to Know.
Take a close look at the rifle pictured. What they wish to outlaw is the stock, the pistol grip the flash supressor, and the magazine.

ReplyDeleteOf course I would be upset if anyone tried to restrict my personal freedoms by attacking any part of our constitution.
So with all due respect to 2nd graders, don't act like one by trying to put words in my mouth.

ReplyDeleteOK, as soon as you stop saying that anybody is looking to ban all guns, or that anyone is claiming that gun regulation will eliminate murders.
Good to know, though, that you are going to help us try to slow down actual threats to the Bill of Rights like This.
Your standard accusation of people who disagree with you as children, however, is kind of cute.
Mass killings seem to have become an epidemic.
