With His Limitless Moolah, Did Walker Run Away With it? Nope.

Journal Sentinel data show significant percentage similarities in the Walker-Barrett 2010 and 2012 gubernatorial races.

But Walker got to spend and benefit from $35-$50 million, and an advantage over Barrett by something like 7:1 this time, so where's Walker's growth? Yes, he won, but not in a landslide.

You'd think all that money would have bought him more love.

From the newspaper's election night' graphics:

2010 November Governor - General

Name Party Votes Vote %
Walker , Scott GOP 1,128,159 52%

Looks like with all the horn blowing and drum pounding that the democrat party only found 95,000 more votes than in 2010 while they riled up more than 145,000 extra voters for the republicans.

Let that be a lesson to Graehme, segway boy etc... your antics, lies and childish behavior does not help your cause. Act like adults, come up with a plan and you may eventually win another statewide race in Wisconsin

  2. It amazes me how uninformed a blogger or writer can be, and is still able to spew their comments. The money spent from both sides was literally equal. Union Pac money doesn't have to be openly reported. Why is that so hard to understand, or is it just easier to ignore that little fact?

  3. yeah, Nonny Mouse, it's almost as bad as commenters who are too cowardly to sign even a nym to their uninformed spew.

Also not reported; the free support and de facto advertising from rightwing talk radio and Fox News, which have become Republican Party propaganda mills.

The reality is that Walker collected more money from out-of-state donors than Barrett did from ALL sources.

I understand that Scotty did not want to spend ALL of that money on the election, because of his Legal Defense Funding needs.
