Business Raps Walker On Transit; Join The Parade

The Business Journal tells Walker's he's wrong to redirect and reduce funding (paid subscription needed, but you can get the drift) for the state's transit systems.

He's also wrong to disassemble the state's regional transit authorities, further starving transit growth and the value it adds.

I've pointed this out before; it's obvious to anyone but a highway lobby PAC manager that starving transit and focusing so heavily road-building will hurt economies and individuals who expect and need a transit system, that is part of a true transportation system.

Walker has set us on a return path to the 50's, having derailed Madison-Milwaukee Amtrak, nearly-completely ended wind energy installations and investments and reduced state energy conservation planning.

The rest of the world is trying to get off fossil fuels: Walker thinks the past is our the future.  Wisconsin isn't so much open for business, as he claims, as it is closed to contemporary thinking and technologies.
