Yes, there is a trend against brick-and-mortar retail stores (Sears, K-Mart, J.C. Penney's et al), and Wisconsin has already seen its share of these traditional department chain stores pull out, but you won't see #250,000jobsfail Scott Walker giving a hoot about these two Macy's closings with at least 112 jobs lost or the state of traditional mall-based retail in Wisconsin unless he suddenly lost his favorite spot to spend his Kohl's cash.
Racine is also losing one Kmart store. People cannot afford to spend the money it takes to keep these places open. Racine lost Sears, Penney's and many other well-known stores due to the high unemployment rate and low wages. It is still struggling over 8 years after the recession. That's on Walker and no one else.
