Though Gov. Walker has shut down federally-inspired clean air planning and attainment in Wisconsin,
and the US Supreme Court recently put a hold on the implementation of newly-issued US EPA clean air compliance rules, others are inviting you to a Milwaukee presentation about why clean power is good, attainable policy:
Arthur J. Harrington, a lawyer and a member of the Environmental and Energy Strategies Group, manager of the Renewable Energy Team at Godfrey and Kahn, will talk about the Clean Power Plan and how it will control CO2 emissions in Wisconsin.
After Harrington's presentation, representatives from the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, RENEW and 350.org will be there to discuss how you can help put pressure on Governor Walker to start the planning process for meeting the requirements of the Clean Power Plan.
Sponsored by Organizing for America. Contact: Paul Geenen, 414-510-1436
Keep in mind that Walker has blocked solar and wind initiatives in the state, and that cleaner air means cleaner water, too.
