Meet the WI Legislature's expert on women's health

The DePere Republican isn't a doctor, but plays one in the Legislature:
Wisconsin lawmakers in the state Assembly voted on Thursday to block Planned Parenthood from receiving $3.5 million in federal funds. The proposal now awaits Senate action.
The bill is one of three introduced by Rep. AndrĂ© Jacque, R-De Pere, tied to a larger debate over abortion.
The bill, passed on a party-line vote, would prevent Planned Parenthood from receiving federal Title X funds, diverting the money to other groups at the discretion of the state Department of Health Services. Another would place limits on how much Planned Parenthood can be reimbursed for prescription drugs acquired through a Medicaid program and the third would ban research conducted on fetal tissue obtained from abortions.

  1. And, there you have it: Diverting the funds to other groups at the discretion of the state Department of Health Services, which, by the way, is a person appointed/hired by the Governor. More handouts to people who have contributed only to the Republicans?

Seems they are doing all of these things to enable their cronyism and giving to people "they choose" to give to who only help a small segment of the population rather than to organizations that help all people. It stinks.

And so goes the destruction of Wisconsin. We cannot afford three more years of Scott Walker and his cronies in the Legislature. Time to vote them out in 2016.

Seriously, though, it's going to be something like that.

What did politicians do to deserve this?

    1. Why is it our fault that Creepy Uncle Jacque is a dopey fatass? I'm guessing this is why he's got such a hangup on sex in general

  5. I think all woman in need of health services that formerly were received from Planned Parenthood should inundate Jacque's office with calls, e-mails and personal visits to find out where they can obtain the needed services.

  6. The Republican attack on women's healthcare is cruel and unjust. What do they have against women? It is appalling that they are defunding Planned Parenthood, an organization that provides necessary healthcare and medication to some of Wisconsin's neediest women. Only 3% of Planned Parenthood funding is used for abortion. Also, the use of fetal stem cells from miscarriages has been used to help/cure many health problems. Do we really want to discard these stem cells when they could be used to find cures for other diseases? If their use is no longer allowed, who knows what family would lose a loved one to a disease that could have been cured? Maybe it could be one of our own Republican legislator's loved ones. The possibility is there. Which of you Republican legislator's wants to tell your family, "I'm sorry. This might have been prevented if only I hadn't voted against stem cell research of miscarried fetuses".
