Walker knows - - or cares- - nothing about science or the DNR

Addressing complex air, land and water issues while maintaining the institutional memories, protecting existing data bases and keeping current with new information is not the same as writing "a report," as Walker put it with his trademark clumsy ignorance.

Walker thinks approaching environmental matters with profound health, safety and economic costs - - and tied into national and international frameworks - - is like hiring a property appraiser when you're buying a house, or getting an estimate from a well-digger.

Besides, if it does not get him votes in Iowa, or attention in South Carolina, he ain't interested.

  1. James,
He does not care unless it will help him to gain more power and status. He cares about nothing but himself. He is a narcissist. If it's not about him he just does not care. He has no soul. His entire life is self-serving.

  2. Science schmience! When your friends in the local media do nothing but publish that you speak directly to GOD and that He directs everything you do, there is no need for human opinions or scientific analysis. Don't you get it? The newspapers say Scott Walker is doing God's Will!

  3. It is probably going to banish you to eternal suffering to proclaim that Scott Walker is a narcissist just because he does what Baby Jesus says...

  4. Walker is a classic sociopath.

That's why he fits right in with his powerbase of teabaggers and talibangelicals.

  6. So just how does the dimestore psychology help the dialog? We said same thing about George walker bush. We can say the same about the entire clown car and romney/ryan too. Why do so many want to make this about perceived character defects instead of objective facts and outcomes.

So how did all the psuedo-medical diagnosis' work fer ya when they were directed at George walker bush?

There is no dialog with Walker and his minions. The sooner one understands that the sooner one can move on to more productive pursuits than attempting to dialog or negotiate with these people.

Defunding, shaming, indicting and de-electing them all are what will produce results.

  8. The DNR is coming apart at the seams. There is too much work and too few staff by design. DNR will fail to keep the water drinkable and the air breathable. The general public is losing confidence in DNR (and other agencies) and so all services will be privatized.

Good points and much better focus than the name calling & psych-babble. Post above seems to fail to understand, the dialog the rest of us have is important and makes a difference. Pretending we can diagnose people we don't know in the least, especially ones getting precisely what they want including tons of great press, not so much so.

  10. As long as the candidates stroke their base of minions they think they're accomplishing something, when the fact is that the greater percentage of Americans are somewhere between
    D ----> here and here<---- R
Show the American people that you're someone who will work toward improving the lives of the poor and the working poor, and your chances increase exponentially. Stick to divisive talking points and you'll get just that small percentage of voters.

Some of us need to be able to understand what makes people tick. In doing research on another matter I happened to come across a thorough description of a Narcissist. As I was reading through the information one person came to mind, Scott Walker. Every line fit him to a T. What does that have to do with what James Rowen wrote? Nothing, but it does explain why Walker does not care, even though he also does not have one scientific bone in his body. For your information here is what I found:
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. Many experts use the criteria in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5),
DSM-5 criteria for narcissistic personality disorder include these features:
    • Having an exaggerated sense of self-importance
    • Expecting to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it
    • Exaggerating your achievements and talents
    • Being preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate
    • Believing that you are superior and can only be understood by or associate with equally special people
    • Requiring constant admiration
    • Having a sense of entitlement
    • Expecting special favors and unquestioning compliance with your expectations
    • Taking advantage of others to get what you want
    • Having an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others
    • Being envious of others and believing others envy you
    • Behaving in an arrogant or haughty manner
Although some features of narcissistic personality disorder may seem like having confidence, it's not the same. Narcissistic personality disorder crosses the border of healthy confidence into thinking so highly of yourself that you put yourself on a pedestal and value yourself more than you value others.

Your psycho-babble says nothing about what makes Scott Walker tick, but does say a lot about what makes you tick.

    So do you project much?

Well, okay, you just keep on wearing those blinders and see where it gets you. I see you are an ardent fan of Walker and everything he says and does is gospel to you. So be it. That's your choice in a free democracy. Good luck to you.

  14. Another problem with an understaffed DNR is that programs funded by the federal government but run by DNR under an agreements to do certain tasks, like the Safe Drinking Water Act or permits for discharges, can be taken back by EPA. This is a problem because we lose more staff and authority and our programs are run by people in Chicago.

  15. No one is a big fan of Scott Walker's for telling the truth that is is not helpful to pretend to diagnose a guy that wins almost every election cycle and is increasingly being reported as the 2016 GOP front runner with psychiatric personality disorder, especially when they are coming from someone who, evidently, is only qualified to do a few google searches and has never even met the man in person.

If you can't bring facts to the table, then don't let your pants get in knots for being called out on your hyperbole. It is very disappointing to see some make claims that are disconnected from reality, especially when there is so much documentable and verifiable information that can be brought to the table.

But then to call out someone that asks people to refrain from childish name calling hiding behind scientific-sounding names as being pro-Walker?!?!?!?!

No wonder those of us that want to see change cannot beat him at the polls.

Go ahead and continue your silly name calling. It will change nothing. In fact, this is the stuff that Scott Walker and his supporters eat for breakfast.

  16. Nobody has said anything about the DNR leadership. Stepp is not able to understand most of what her agency is supposed to do. Most of her appointees, including Mike Bruhn, who is her Deputy, are PR flacks who only know about messaging. They are not interested in complex issues. Bill Cosh reigns supreme at the DNR and he is simply not that into nature.

From a different perspective: First of all baby Jesus grew up. Jesus and God are one and the same. Jesus was God in the form of man on earth. That’s how the story is told in evangelical or christian churches. So, when Walker claims to hear God’s voice in his head, it is also the voice of Jesus. And, claiming to do what Jesus tells him does not make him a narcissist. Furthermore, I am not the first or only person who has said Walker is a narcissist. People have been saying that about him since he was in college at Marquette. To see personality traits in a person that fits a specific personality disorder is not name calling. It's called telling the truth. But, some people can't handle the truth.

Its name calling and it has nothing to do with why we need a new governor.
