Kochs have been grooming Walker since 2007

Yes, word leaked out that the Koch brothers want Walker as their 2016 candidate, but that should not come as a surprise.

Do not forget that an official of the Koch brothers' funding and organizing arm Americans for Prosperity said about 15 senior rightists came to Wisconsin in 2007 somewhere "on the shores of Lake Michigan" and threw their support long-range behind Walker.

A scenario referenced here several times after its disclosure at a March, 2014 conservative conference in Washington, DC and reported by Salon.com with the rest of the media's continuing silence:
How did we do it in Wisconsin?” RNC Chair Reince Priebus asked Saturday morning. “The simplest way I can tell you is we had total and complete unity between the state party, quite frankly, Americans for Prosperity, the Tea Party groups, the Grandsons of Liberty. The [Glenn Beck-instigated] 9/12ers were involved. It was a total and complete agreement that nobody cared who got the credit, that everyone was going to run down the tracks together...”
Panelist Luke Hilgemann, the current Americans for Prosperity COO who formerly led the Koch-backed group’s Wisconsin efforts, told the crowd that the 2011 [Walker inaugural] victory “started back in 2007 on the shores of Lake Michigan,” at a meeting of fifteen intrepid activists who’d “had enough of government overreach,” including then-Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker.

  1. Little did these corrupt morons know that this may be the death of their party in the long run. Choose an idiot for your poster child who then makes idiot moves to screw-up Wisconsin. This last budget has really peed off the base, as the most recent polls are showing. Unfortunately, Walker will inherit a multimillion dollar deal while we flounder for the next decade trying to undo the damages the fool has caused.

  3. The kochs have groomed delicious walker-Koch goodness and what happens in Wisconsin doesn't matter. The state's media will never tell the truth and there is no reason national media will publish anything that doesn't parrot the dysfunctional state media. Walker will be out of state when the sh!t hits the fan in Wisconsin anyhow.

People are stoooopid to make any of this about Walker's intelligence, competence, or "accomplishments". Walker is the perfect tool. He'll do as told and be a distraction from the interests and agenda he represents. Wisconsin is no longer his base.

  4. This may all be old news: as of 4/22/15, Salon reports that the Koch Brothers are suddenly iffish about dear Scooter, and are willing to audition other GOPlins like Jeb Bush. Why, oh why?

Not only has the Wanker shot his own home base ratings down (for reasons your readers know full well, like tax-paid European tours), but he's flipped from amnestying illegal immigration to banning legal immigration — much to the worker-hungry, pay-thrifty Kochs' displeasure.

    Whoopsie!

  5. Interesting that the Journal/Sentinel story today on Walker's religion was based on interviews from others as Walker refused to participate. Wouldn't one think when you claim that all your decisions are God led that you would be over- joyed to tell of your relationship with God. As the article points out Walker doesn't follow Christ's directives to aid the poor and to work to reduce poverty. One has to suspect that Walker's God is a political being that Walker hides behind to use and justify his punitive policies toward the very people that Christ's gospel directs him to serve! He appears to worship at a different altar than most of us and I'm fairly sure that he mistakes David and Charles as the voices which he thinks are coming from god. ALEC policies appear to be the scripture he is most attuned with.
