Despite Earth Day layoff notices, program cuts, Walker's DNR issues pablum

[Updated] Walker and his corporate-obesiant DNR have had themselves quite the Earth Day, 2015 - - sending 57 layoff notices to science and other staffers as part of a four-year plan to undermine Wisconsin's environment - - but leave it to current agency Secretary and GOP cheerleader Cathy Stepp - - inveterate all-staff emailer - - to cap it off with a meaningless yet insulting, all-employee email:

  1. Does Stepp realize that the recipients of this letter will consider it a slap in the face? Or does she know, but doesn't care?

Stepp and her GOP colleagues prove time and again that they are completely oblivious to the needs, concerns and feelings of workers and citizens.

  2. The at risk notices to federally funded employees will have no impact on the budget. This smacks of retaliation.

    1. Or worse- it opens the door to more desecration of the environment and skirting of the law without consequences.

That seems like the real goal here- along with the nod to the Kochs and other oil men.

  4. Gee, having a resume of working at McDonald's and Stein Optical and no college degree will really get you far in Walker and the Koch's Wisconsin!

Do you think she had a clue?

  8. Actions speak louder than words. It would be kind to say Cathy Stepp is disingenuous as is Governor Roadkill.

  10. Layoffs at DNR are a good thing. Means more money for earth, bears, fish, birds, wolves, and every other type of fauna and wildlife.

  11. Between a big payoff and a nice place to live, which do you think the bears, fish birds and wolves would prefer? That's where animals are so much smarter than people, who often confuse money with the things they want, and sometimes choose it over what they, their families and communities actually need.

Bears would crush you with derivatives and sham paper assets in a heartbeat if they could. I say defund dnr and give the cash to the animals and lets see if they can compete in financial markets!
