[Updated from 10:46 a.m.] Walker marionette and admitted enemy of DNR science Cathy Stepp's defending Scott Walker's plan to strip public oversight from the public agency she has publicly demeaned
is as unsurprising as Paula Deen taking her time and ours to endorse making and eating butter popsicles.
And of course Stepp and Walker want to sell naming rights at state parks to corporate sponsors. Downer Offal Rendering Woods, or Peninsula Insecticides LLC or Governor Dodge Manure Spreaders State Parks have just the right ring to them.
We've seen this coming.
So now look to the Walker budget's multiple and widespread clear-cut across DNR and UW environmental programs, policies to understand what Stepp - - named by Walker to bring what he said was a "chamber of commerce mentality" to the agency's management - - is positioned and pledged to at the DNR.

Running DNR like a business (of the out-of-state multinational type) demands we destroy the environment to save it.
ReplyDeleteAfter all, protecting animals, plants, water, air, and people costs money and this cash should be given to out-of-state billionaires as tax cuts and business subsidies.
Who needs clean water & air, animals, and a wholesome environment when you can have Koch brothers toxicity?
MORE ENBRIDGE PIPELINES, LESS WILDLIFE, CLEAN AIR & WATER, AND TREES!
What the hell is she doing to that fawn in the photo? Tell me she didn't shoot it.
ReplyDeleteThe DNR posted the photo of Stepp's gun victory.
ReplyDeleteI think she has just choked it to death with her bear hands!
ReplyDeleteNow there's a hunter!!!!!!!!!
YOU GO GIRL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BREAKING NEWS:
ReplyDeleteWisconsin DNR secretary proposes selling naming rights to state parks

She's obviously holding down that fawn to coerce some out-of-state corporation to pony and buy naming rights to one of Wisconsin's state parks.
How about Angel Soft Toilet Paper Forest Reserve?
I don't know about you, but I'd wipe myself with that koch brothers product in a heartbeat!
I can tell you from direct experience that the DNR has been totally ruined as an effective environmental force. Dont talk about "morale" among its employees - there is none at all, except among a few ass kissers.
ReplyDeleteBut Cathy is not dumb or worthless, as she is often called - shes a pretty shrewd puppet and environmental tyrant - absolutely nothing wild concerns her - except to kill it. She talks like Walker... Cuts and layoffs are an "opportunity" for efficiency and growth. Kind of like stealing someones jacket gives them an opportunity to figure out another way to stay warm.
That picture is like the infamous National Lampoon cover which was captioned, "Buy this magazine or we'll shoot this dog."
ReplyDeleteI'm no deer hunter but would someone tell me where was that deer shot. Where on the body was it shot? the only part of the deer you can't see is the butt and tail. It that a kill shot? Wouldn't even a small caliber deer rifle pass thru the deer if shot from the other side? Wait a minute is that even a deer? Looks more like a dog.
