Tuesday, March 10: Luncheon event in Milwaukee reviews the EPA's Clean Power Plan**
A panel of experts led by incoming Wisconsin Public Service Commission Chair Ellen Nowak will react to Regional EPA chief Susan Hedman's speech on her agency's effort to reduce carbon pollution at a WisPolitics.com-WisBusiness.com Milwaukee luncheon on Tuesday March 10.
The luncheon, organized in cooperation with MMAC, is sponsored in part by Xcel Energy and American Transmission Co. It will take place at the University Club, 924 East Wells Street, Milwaukee (phone 414.271.2222). Check in begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and the program beginning at noon. Hedman's remarks will be followed by an expert panel including: incoming PSC Chair Ellen Nowak; Xcel Energy Environmental Policy manager Nicholas Martin; Wisconsin Industrial Energy Group Executive Director Todd Stuart; and Clean Wisconsin Senior Policy Director Keith Reopelle.
The controversial plan, which opponents say will hurt Wisconsin's economy, would limit coal emissions from power plants.
