WisDOT picks traditional eight-lane I-94 hosing of Milwaukee west side
Good for the activists who raised hell about the possible $300 million double-decking of I-94 above cemeteries and sight lines in the Miller Park/Story Hill/cemeteries' corridor.
What's left for the road-builders will just be your garden variety $850 million, eight-lane, four-to- eight-year borrowing and construction-congestion boondoggle, a super-sized wasteful single finger flip, if you will, that also ends west bound access to the area's minor northbound thoroughfare known as Hawley Rd., rather than the more expensive two-handed salute some WisDOT dreamers had hoped for.
