Vacationing Fox host makes NY tragedy about himself

I sure did pick the wrong time to go on vacation, thought Bill O'Reilly, so he scored some rating points by calling into his own show, telling the New York City Mayor to resign, and making himself the story.

    It's really quite alarming what O'Reilly said--that a mayor should resign because he lost the respect of the police. As if the police represent the voice of the people and that the mayor serves at the pleasure of the police.

    It wouldn't be all that different to say that the military represents the voice of the American people and that the president serves at the pleasure of the military.

    Dangerous authoritarianism.
