Hmm...Why Walker picks a losing federal fight over drug-testing?
Could it be that the cred he gains with core GOP/Tea Party '16 primary voters - - he's the original Tea Party in Wisconsin, don't forget - - over forcing drug-testing on welfare recipients will convince conservatives he should be their ideological pick? Right approach for Wisconsin, or right Walker approach for the right?
The governor has been upfront in acknowledging that the proposal won't likely pass muster under federal law, but said it's the right approach for Wisconsin.
"We believe that there will potentially be a fight with the federal government and in court ... Our goal here is not to make it harder to get government assistance; it's to make it easier to get a job," Walker told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
More on "the original Tea Party," sourcing.
That's the whole point -- gotta pick fights with the "washington establishment" if you are a career politician that has never worked in the private sector outside of mcdonalds.
ReplyDeletewalker is a political insider and has powerful inside allies and big money backers -- so he needs to rail against those in washington that would undermine is "mandate" to divide and conquer.
And, of course, no one did more to send walker back to the gov's office and then onto the national stage then milwaukee journal sentinel that literally reprinted fake news directly underwritten by the coke brothers.
So look for milwaukee journal sentinel to prop up these lies and amplify them across the state.
He hasn't done a damn thing that's "right" for Wisconsin. Over the next year he will be proposing whatever he can find that will be controversial and invoke a fight that the media can put on the front pages. It's all about selling himself to the extreme right party bosses across the country; not about what is either good or right for Wisconsin. It's only about what is right for one Scott Walker. Has everyone noticed that since they won the election no concern about voter fraud or preserving the integrity of our elections coming from Walker and crew? This won't be an issue again until it's brought out before the next election cycle.
