About a new WI DNR wetlands approach

Let's just be assured that this added method of wetlands restoration isn't to enable faster permitting for wetlands-killers, like the proposed iron ore mine in the Bad River watershed near Lake Superior or the planned upscale golf course along alongside and into Kohler Andrae state park south of Sheboygan.

Given new laws and priorities adopted by the Walker administration and implemented by a DNR run with a "chamber-of-commerce" mentality" that disregard science, minimize environmental inspections and enforcement, ease wetland protections, limit citizen involvement along the way and make business development a DNR goal, the agency can't be trusted to launch a plan for wetland restoration without people wanting to know why a wetland - - any wetland - - needs restoration or remediation in the first place.

  1. Only psychopaths destroys their home. Lying psychopaths are the worst kind. Or maybe I'm delusional and Jesus really did tell Walker to take $700,000 from Chris Cline, build that colossal iron mine and commit genocide by destroying the rice that sustains the folks at Bad River.

  2. With the DNR it's never as it seems and never as they say it is . They often change policy secretly and when called on it claim they were only cleaning up some redundant language.

  3. Any money given to the DNR for wetland restoration will be used for something else. Look at how this is worded. "The agency plans to ask the public for possible projects." Citizens and groups are supposed to submit ideas to the DNR. They will not be generated by wetlands staff based on need. Projects will of course be subject to rejection by the secretary who then will submit her favorite proposals for an okay to the board. Anyone who thinks that more than a few projects will be accepted and funded is just wrong. Most of this money will go toward PR and salaries for upper management. Shame on the EPA and Corp of Engineers for falling for this.

  4. @Jim Limbach: It's not G-Tac's home. G-Tac (the psychopath's who re-wrote Act 1) is from Florida and they care NOTHING for the pristine WI environment that they lust to assault, rape and destroy. Walker is the pimp who gave it/sold it to Chris Cline, Bill Williams et al. They still salivate to destroy WI even tho the price of iron ore is tanking. Raping the Earth for it's raw commodities is their thing.
