In WI gubernatorial campaign's closing days?
Ridiculous and outrageous, and proving the game is rigged.
And suggesting that the race is closer than the Marquette Law School poll suggests, necessitating a last minute Nixonian move.

As Paul Krugman wrote in the New York Times the other day, "The truth is that a lot of what’s going on in American politics is, at root, a fight between democracy and plutocracy. And it’s by no means clear which side will win." This applies in Wisconsin in spades. Don't forget to vote.
ReplyDeleteNo real surprise. If he's running scared it is time to call in the ratfuckers.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot more dirt to come from John Doe before election day.
But will the newspapers print anything on the John Doe investigations?
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot more dirt to come from John Doe before election day.
ReplyDeleteI meant the kind of dirt like claiming Burke had been fired from Trek. You know- 'independent' and 'non-coordinated' sources making spurious claims that the urinal sentinel and other 'left wing' media dutifully 'report'.
Wait- Did the urinal sentinel just change the headline on the story?
ReplyDelete"Ex-Trek execs with conservative ties say Mary Burke was forced out"
That's not what I remember seeing earlier...
Anon 11:17pm-
ReplyDeleteI read the articles being churned out at RightWisconsin, WisconsinReporter, et al about MB being fired, forced out, etc.
They quoted Gary Ellman, GOP chair for Jefferson Co. and 'fake democrat' who ran against Lori Campos in the recall against Fitzgerald. Hardly credible considering his position and political lack of ethics. In addition, he left due to a disagreement in hiring 'philosiphy'.
The rest of the info 'channeled' was from 'former' as in disgruntled employees. Lots of hearsay.
But then you read something like this, which flies in the face of the spin coming out of those political hack s. "... She later took a job leading Trek’s European operations.
In one year, Burke opened offices in four countries, which meant setting up legal entities, hiring staff, leasing office space and establishing office protocol, said John Burke, who was her boss.
Steve Lindenau, who ran Trek’s German operations at the time, said when he learned the company founder’s daughter would be his boss, he wondered if it was a case of nepotism. It wasn’t long before he considered Burke one of the smartest people he knew.
Lindenau was used to making decisions from the gut based on his experience growing up around bike shops. Burke insisted on a different approach based on analyzing data and assembling all available information.
“The business changed (to) being less of an emotional way of making decisions and more of a pragmatic approach,” said Lindenau, who now runs two bicycle companies in California. “It was helpful for the bottom line, for sure.”..."

Who would you believe? Lindenau? Or a 'former employee'?
And then there's this: "...A story in the Wisconsin State Journal quoted Steve Lindenau, who ran Trek’s German operations at the time and wondered if Burke’s hiring was a case of nepotism. “It wasn’t long before he considered Burke one of the smartest people he knew,” the story reports.

Once she had built up the separate operations in various countries, each country director could report directly to Trek, Burke notes, and eventually her position wasn’t necessary.... http://urbanmilwaukee.com/.../murphys-law-who-is-mary-burke/
And best of all, THIS!!: (SHAREWORTHY)
ReplyDelete'Once a Mary Burke critic, WMC lauds her on start-up investing plan.'

This is when you want low-information voters on your side.
ReplyDeleteThe Journal-Sentinel and State Journal and any other paper that catapults this absurd smear attack has pounded their final nail into the coffin as any type of legit news source. And these people aren't suckers, they're intentionally reporting this lie as worthy of investigation without checking the source or any of the facts.
ReplyDeleteIt's time to fight fire with fire. I don't want John Doe revelations (which the JS and others will bury). I WANT CHARGES. This is how the GOPs would operate if the Dems were remotely as corrupt as WisGOP. Just ask Georgia Thompson.
Being "nice" and "above the fray" doesn't work against this Nixonian crew. Especially with the low-info and MISinfo types that Walker relies on to stay in power.
I'm enraged on many levels with this BS, as well as the deceptive Marquette Law poll yesterday.
