Foolish Walker Remark Should Keep Diane Sykes Off Judicial Panel Tuesday

No sane person or institution would add an errant, misguided speck, an atom, even a molecule of insider influence to a case already drowning in it - - secret donations, hidden campaign coordination with outside groups.

So I figure Gov. Walker's having said in a Washington, DC speech last year (at about the 6:20 mark here) that he''d love to appoint conservative Federal Appeals Judge Diane Sykes - - "one of our favorite jurists" - - to something in the future...ha ha, wink wink - - might just conflict her out being selected to the three-judge Appellate Court panel that will hold a hearing in Chicago Tuesday on Walker's Jone Doe dilemmas.

As is the Court's practice, the panel selection will be announced Tuesday prior to the 2:30 p.m hearing.

Call it an unintended consequence - - through no fault of Judge Sykes's - - of Walker's Presidential fantasizing that was probably better kept to himself.

I'd also recommend the first few minutes in the video because the person introducing Walker says Walker is dedicated to the rule of law and is on track to create 250,000 new jobs, among other plaudits you can judge for yourselves.
