Walker Digs Big Government Trough For Top Loyalists

The working poor get austerity and crumbs, and his throw-away staffers got the shaft, but Scott Walker keeps the taxpayer-provided buffet open 24/7 for his top dogs:
Cindy Archer, the longtime aide to Gov. Scott Walker whose home was raided as part of a John Doe probe in 2011, has landed a new job as chief information officer for the State Public Defender's Office, the Wisconsin State Journal reports...
The State Journal reports that Archer's new salary, $113,459 a year, is 31% higher than her predecessor in the job...
Exhibit "B:"
James Villa, a longtime confidant of Gov. Scott Walker, has been named vice president for university relations at the University of Wisconsin System...
Walker provided a reference for Villa, his former campaign aide and one-time chief of staff during Walker's stint at Milwaukee County executive. Villa is expected to make $178,000 a year...

  1. Do you think maybe just maybe the voters have had enough crumbs and would like a governor who will serve all the people not just those that further Walker's political ambitions.

  2. They need these fat-cat jobs and incomes to pay for criminal lawyers just like darlene wink was given a cushy job with a walker croney so she could lawyer up.

Remember, since archer has immunity, she can't plead the 5th and any obstruction or lies would throw out the immunity and open her up for prosecution for perjury and/or obstruction (on top of any other crimes she could lose immunity for).

  3. Maybe Walker can find a job for someone else, a guy who misses ordering people around and being treated like a big-shot:

  4. Walker & his minions are very good at using the biggest news dump days to cover their most outrageous acts.

Last year, he signed the state-sanctioned rape bill and the media has essentially not mentioned since and gave it minimal coverage over the 4th

  5. Scotty should act like the public private partner he is and give up the pension for a 401k and pay his fair share of health care benefits. The irony with the biggest supporters of these public private "partnerships" is the public manager keeps his government job while substituting the underlings with contractors.

    1. Can't defend this cronyism, can ya kid? Your boy will go down sooner than later and things like this "inner circle" favoritism and no-bid selling of state buildings are going to be a reason why.

Have a good 4th, and stop waving red Pom-Poms for people who don't care about ethics or the betterment of this state and country.

  7. dont forget these are the salaries sans benefits. A teacher makes $40,000 and when publishing their salary, they like to add a crazy number for benefits.

When a walker crony gets a 178,000 job they dont mention the cost of benefits.

    Not sure why
