Being reported on recently - - no jobs, no ground-breaking, missed loan payments, so pretty much a boondoggle and a stinker - - I'm just saying I had my doubts in January, 2012 as I previewed Walker's upcoming State-of-the-Mismanaged-State-Speech
He'll also tout as a personal victory his role in luring a small airplane plant to choose Superior over a site in Maine - - but will not dwell on the need for more than $100 million in state subsidies that originate nearly entirely with the evil Obama/Big Federal administration, or the highly-speculative, boom-and-bust nature of the small-plane, corporate-flying SUV business. And as I'd added in a blog comment discussion about the same time:
I used to cover aviation issues at the Old Journal. So-called General Aviation is a very risky business.
Litigation, insurance and the overall economy makes any new, small-plane venture very very tenuous.
There has been talk of companies making small, flying SUV's, but fuel prices, fewer fliers and aging boomers ruled it out.
I wouldn't bet on it.
They owe the state 4 million$ and have defaulted on their loans.
ReplyDeleteFunny, the J-S is burying this, just like they buried the. "WEDC tax credits given to companies who outsource" story.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have anything to do with WEDC being a J-S Newswatch sponsor, could it?
