Someday we may have a regional planning commission, a state transportation department and a political process in SE Wisconsin that do not require a federal lawsuit to get transit services for workers and urbanites included in a $1.7 billion-dollar public transportation project - - but until that day comes, props to the plaintiffs, attorneys and judge who made sure some fairness and more transit services get added to Zoo Interchange spending.
And, who knows? Maybe transit connections to jobs in the suburbs might lead to other steps, like more working-class housing and other opened doors for minorities in the 'burbs.
All to try and undo more than 50 bad years of regional history and governmental, moral default.
