And who isn't for family values?
Well, straight family values, as Joel Kleefisch's spouse, Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, had this to say, "biblically," when running for her office in 2010:
Republican candidate for Wisconsin Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch compared same-sex marriage to marrying a clock during a radio interview.
“This is a slippery slope,” Kleefisch said. “In addition to that at what point are we going to be okay marrying inanimate objects? Can I marry this table or this, you know, clock? Can we marry dogs?"
I believe Rebecca Kleefisch did marry and inanimate object.
ReplyDeleteGee, do you think maybe she listens to talk radio? Does she have any idea how that must have sounded to ordinary folks? I believe her comment is a good example of what often happens in that particular echo chamber, where thoughts and ideas go unchallenged until they get to the point of absurdity.
ReplyDeleteDunno, Becky, can you marry a corporation? Perhaps that analogy will help the issue make more sense to you.
ReplyDeleteOf course, to use an old-fashioned though vulgar saying, why should corporations buy the cow when they can get the milk for free?
She does want to know how she can love corporatlons more, so that does seem to add up
