Kentucky's Governor Steve Beshear and Wisconsin's Scott Walker are both sons of Baptist ministers, but that's about where the similarities stop, particularly when it comes to Obamacare, Medicaid and federal funding.
Beshear, a Democrat, embraced Obamacare, set up a state health-care website and exchange - - a wild success - - and also accepted federal financing to underwrite the entire system.
For ideological reasons, Walker, a Tea Party/Republican, did just the opposite - - turned down the feds' website and coverage funding - - and is now scrambling to figure out how to help insure the state's low-income population.
One thing you can say for sure, Bucky: We're no Kentucky.
Let alone Minnesota.
(8:35 a.m. - - Beshear's party affiliation corrected.)
Beshear is a Democrat, but otherwise you are spot on. The places that took expanded Medicaid and set up their own exchanges are generally doing better than the sabotaging states, like Wisconsin
