Climate change is altering people's lives right now. ... It is as clear and present a danger as we've ever seen.Wouldn't it be great if Wisconsin - - facing climate change implications for our ag and recreational industries, storm water infrastructure and Great Lakes water levels - - had a DNR with as much interest in climate change as it does with controlling a nude beach near Mazomanie and adding to the wolf kill?
The DNR's webpage on climate change has not been update for 18 months, when scientific and program links were deleted. You can read some of the lost titles, here.
I have heard it referred to climate injustice because the poor who live disproportionately in areas that are affected by climate changes are affected most. Perhaps that is why the US Congress is unwilling to do anything about it. http://climateactionnowma.org/facing-up-to-climate-injustice/
ReplyDelete"Former Top NASA Scientist". Why are we not hearing from the current top NASA scientist?
ReplyDeleteOf course. But the problem is the Koch Brothers, Sheldon Adelson et al could care less if global warming is a threat. The only threats they care about are dark money investigations, facts educating the masses about Scott Walker's fiscal disaster, and environmental regulations. I have never seen more greedy and manipulative men than these men + Scott Walker. Beware if they buy Walker the White House...it will destroy the middle class. Serfdom here we come...
