Wisconsin legislators in thrall to hunting and gun groups, and led by the Lt. Governor's legislator-spouse who quietly paid this year a $243 deer-hunting ticket, have allowed dogs into the already-controversial wolf hunt - - and the bloody toll is climbing.
No other state allows dogs to chase after wolves, given the potential for fights that could injure or kill dogs and wolves.
And hunters have until January to show the wolf. Does anyone think for a moment that bite marks from dogs would disappear by then?
